Exams are over over over over over OVER!!!

ZOMG the Saturday that everybody had been waiting for finally arrived!!! I had like about 2 minutes to spare so as I spammed a few extra quotes from various Lords and ministers all around, I had this mega goofy smile on me face. And once Gao said time was up... WHOO!!! I REALLY FELT LIKE THROWING UP MY HANDS IN THE AIR :D

So in a bid to celebrate in an ATAS way, we trooped off to Kushin Bo where we got ripped off and I didn't eat as much dessert as I wanted :(

So then it was KBox... which Melody, Kaiwen and I had been craving for the longest time. It felt MEGA good, belting out all the frustrations for almost 5-6 hours non-stop. We probably had the most odd medley of songs, ranging from ancient Chinese classics to offbeat Aqua, from teenybopper Chinese songs to really slow English ballads,, from mega toe-tapping 'Keep On Movin' to the slowest and saddest Chinese songs like 'SHEN AH JIU JIU WO' and 'YI QIAN SHANG XIN DE LI YOU', from classic boyband songs to Lady Gaga, from attempts at Korean songs to Chinese rapping, from Hokkien songs to permenantly falsetto Mika songs... but I liked it (:

And friends... I have finally found my Disney match. So far, I was unrivalled in my Disney obsession but then I found Joanne :D Awesome!!!

Ok so after a long long time of singing and lemonhoney-ing to soothe our throats, we went down to some bar near Suntec to chill and Ruiwen joined us shortly. Then I learnt Kaiwen's drinking prowess. He seriously downed beer like NOBODY'S BUSINESS, drinking almost 4 tall tall glasses and still turned out more sober than Ruiwen who only drank 2 and started getting a headache. Then we swapped odd stories and started playing Shoot Shag Marry with the oddest characters which resulted into plenty of screaming, laugher and high-fives (:

Glenn Boyce is my new love.
I'm gonna wait for him to grow up to marry me and by then I'll be some kickass ballroom dancer. Then we'll be like his parents who make up one of the sweetest couples I've ever seen. 

I've renewed my love for ballroom dancing. The glitter, the sparkle, the dress, the moves... they're all fantastic. You get dazzled so easily and your eyes are permanently mesmerized by to-die-for dresses that fulfill any girl's princess dreams. I saw 1 swan princess, 1 little mermaid and 1 GORGEOUS PRINCESS among the professional standards. 

But like all goodlooking things, they're transient. Instead, the music, the smiles, the joy, the ultimate sweetness and love that you see between partners, those leave the most lasting impressions. All my princess fantasies have kicked back in full force. Not a very good thing actually but ah well, dreaming never really harmed anyone too much I guess.

So in the meantime, I'll just have to work ALOT ALOT ALOT harder and force my partner to be more diligent! Pairing 2 law students together is never a really smart move.

Waltz is so pretty and Viennese waltz is just so much prettier. Tango is awesome especially since I've found the PERFECT practice song. And with Lex's newly-inspired 'head-snap', I think Tango sessions are gonna be hilarious shit. Just that it kinda sucks when your partner calls you a T-Rex  or JAManda :(

 I really swear I'm foaming. Just when I thought the bulk of Lawlypop planning was over... SLAP!

 Ok. So the drain of law school has started. I really detest LTB to the core, specifically the poster session. It's the PERFECT example of how input >>>>> output. After all the effort that we're going to put in, it's only going to be 5%?! But then we can't afford to be slack because everybody's gonna spoil market and be hardcore. And this is the portion where we're all expected to get the same score! So tonight will be a long long long night where I'll probably have my first really late meeting in school until 2-3am. 

Then with Lawlypop approaching and my new appointment, there's just so much work to do! Again, it doesn't help that my presentation weeks are looming dangerously closer and closer. Ah and how can I forget? MID-TERMS. Try tackling the above while juggling a CCA and keeping up with readings. The crim law seminar outline for next week is 11 PAGES. JUST THE OUTLINE. Previously it'd always been only 3-4 pages :(

And of course the emotional roller coaster with people leaving for uni overseas and seeing certain developments which have made me feel a little awkward, a little sad, a little i-knew-it and a little disappointed.

So at times I feel like kicking myself for not being open enough but now is definitely one of the times where I thank the heavens that I have the smarts to keep my secrets to myself because firstly, who cares about the teensy weensy trivial details in your life and secondly, I know I'm the best secret-keeper (:

So Week 3 has been pretty dreary but with certain points that make life enjoyable - road trip to Yishun to eat Chicken Rice, Photobooth, Family Dinner, etc.

I wanna watch Time Traveller's Wife!!!  I usually dont like scruffy men (eg. Hugh Jackman - I seriously dont get the hype over him - looks at nette), but Eric Bana is really !!! in the show! The last time I liked him was way way back in Troy when he was the all-so-awesome Hector.
And of course Rachel McAdams. I think she looks absolutely gorgeous

Grr I really need more time to do the things I really wanna do instead of getting stuck in my room drowning with readings. I wanna catch up on Bleach (Ye Wei's overtaken me by so much!), watch Gossip Girl S3 when it comes out in, watch the TW drama that is screening on TV, install snow leopard os x, work on farewell presents, etc.

It's only Week 3 and I'm already looking forward to Summer Break! :(

 LAW SCHOOL YOU SUCK.

It's probably awful to start off 4 years of law school with such a negative mentality. BUT I CAN'T HELP IT!
The readings are killing me. And I feel like shooting myself for wasting time at the Flea today :(

My wardrobe is already bursting and my mum is already nagging and I have more than enough clothes to last me through at least a term. Maybe even two terms. But why why whyyyyy am I a sucker for pretty clothes :( I need to be less materialistic and superficial. I should stop spending so much time deciding what to wear everyday because really, who cares. Only I do -.- The extra time is probably better spent catching a few more winks of sleep.

Sending people off is a very sad affair. And it's not like I need to go to Changi Airport more often since I'll be there for 4 years. Belle just said that day that it's alot like Harper's Island - 'One by one' :(

Can't wait for the 27ths overseas trip to visit the overseas people! But that will be a long long while away while I wait for my friends to move out of their hostels and finally get their own accommodations. God please please psycho Rufus to lease his awesome flat to Belle for a mega deal rental.

And I really dislike this time of the year where everybody is joining CCAs. I STILL haven't found my talent! :( Even after whining for a whole year, long long long emo discussions with Ye Wei and Gerrard, a lengthy email from Gerrard trying to sound me out... I still think that I have no talent and have a strong feeling that I'll never ever find one. You know what, I don't even have to be AWESOME at it. Just good enough to be passable. Grrr.

I'm beginning to regret law school already and it only starts tomorrow :(

Yay so I've gotten through Law Camp and Arts Camp! And that rounds up all my pre-school camps (: I got out of the compulsory OBS camp because of my, as my doctor puts it, 'mildly severely eczema'.

And I'm actually dreading the start of school. I'm totally loving the laidback lifestyle I'm leading now but like Nelly Futardo says, all good things come to an end :(

And you know what else? I don't feel like blogging anymore.

Grawr I'm so pissed that my Microsoft Outlook trial period is over :(
I'm trying to download the crack so I can continue using it. I love Outlook Calendar!

And why oh why can't I book my test date on the SSDC website?! It just keeps saying 'Check Availability' and when I click on it, it proudly displays that 24/25/26 Aug is full. And I can't seem to check other dates. GRAWR.

And life feels kinda sucky cos I have no GOAL to work towards. I'm just going for driving lessons, going out everyday with random people, facebooking, sleeping, tutoring, watching drama serials, shopping... I NEED A GOAL. And while everybody is getting excited about uni, I'm actually dreading it. I don't wanna study again! :(

Well, I've finally figured out where I'm headed for now. It wasn't much of a choice but one mustn't be picky.

So as I worry about the 4 years of uni life ahead of me, I've been trying to up my productivity level and get more organized. For one thing, after talking to Nic Tong, I've decided to use my gmail account as my default email from now on. I've set the email forwarding system so hopefully I won't lose any mail. With that transition, I've also decided to use gmail for MSN too. So people, remember to accept my add!

Besides the obvious 'Gmail is better than hotmail' arguments, I did it mostly for the syncing factor. To sync Google Calendars with my Microsoft Outlook Calendar. So now that I've decided to use Calendars to get my life sorted, I've also been surfing around for other cool programs. And there are quite a few programs only available to Mac which makes it really tempting to get one.

The future feels so terribly uncertain. And it feels worse since everybody else has pretty much figured out their own future. And there's so little time before uni starts! :(

As you walk, you can't help but pause to look down. The grass beneath is fresh and hasn't been tread on. You look ahead and the path begins to blur into the unknown. Where now? But time doesn't stop for you, nothing does. And just like Alice in Wonderland, the path behind is slowly swept away by the cruel brooms of time. Nothing to turn back to. Only one way. So just like Alice, you step forward into the unknown with your shiny MaryJanes. And only hope you'll blindly grope your way to Wonderland.

So I guess life hasn't been the most awesome for me lately. Well, life can't always be awesome I guess.
I'll just have to be contented with what God has dished out for me, count my blessings, discover whatever path I'm supposed to go and find my happiness there (:

Had an extended family dinner on Saturday and another extended family dinner on Sunday. Despite all the older generation conflicts and friction, I'm so glad that our generation has never had any problem (save for some social recluses). Even with all the significant age gaps and different backgrounds, we've always managed to click and have the most fun in the weirdest places and doing the oddest things.

Somehow, I regret extending that 2 weeks at UOB. The people are really insanely awesome and all... it's just that, I could really use that 2 weeks to catch up on my driving, do the things that I really wanna do, spend more time with my friends, etc.

Afternoon lunch with the class: Ben's 'back-to-civilization' celebratory lunch
Some seafood harvest restaurant. The food was actually really quite nice. I REALLY LIKED the Strawberry Soda!
Well, with Ben enlisted, we just lost another victim. Now all the class guys (let's not count Xiaohan) have converted to the dark side... the NS TALK. It never stops! Everywhere I go, as long as there are guys in my batch around... the NS talk starts and my brain switches off. So what do we do to retaliate? Talk about latest movies, tv shows, music, etc. HA BEAT THAT!

Well, we tried to at least. Somehow none of the retail stores have very nice collections this season. Well, at least retail stores in the affordable range. So we just browsed around and criticized all the awful clothes around till Ye Wei came around and kept moaning about us shopping.

PIERCED EARS!
Went all the way to Causeway Point to pierce them at Goldheart because my mum only trusts Goldheart. They even provide free cute little bottles of water! And it didn't hurt! Not much at least. It just felt like an injection at first, where you can feel something thin poking into something. Then later it felt a little sore like... wearing clip-ons for too long. Nothing I'm not used to.. so it was fine (:

My mum kept scolding me for being a wuss cos I wanted to hold her hand :(

Wolverine and Dinner!
So as usual, Rufus cons us into going for some outing again. Thank god for Sammy and Lydia otherwise I'd have felt super awkward with all the strange dudes around. Hearts and more hearts to Sammy for being an awesome gossip partner and being my perfect Subway partner! We wanted almost exactly the same things! (:

And I really liked Wolverine! I don't know why people say the movie sucked because I really liked it! And no I'm not a Hugh Jackman fan. I'm being entirely objective! Oh and I was never really a fan of Daniel Henney but the scene where he first broke into the building? I LOVED IT. The way he reloaded his gun.. my jaw just DROPPED. AWESOME.

Saturday
Morning driving lesson!
My progress is super slow :( But at least I've finally learnt reversing! Now only U-Turns, Parking, etc. left! I really really hope I can pass my driving test soon! Then I don't have to worry so much about transport :D

Cycling @ Ubin!
Ahh OCOMM + Breast friend! (:
Met at Changi Village for a quick breakfast before we took the ferry to Ubin. And guess what! No sea-sickness this time! (: I'd like to think its the company that cured it. It was really a journey fraught with difficulties. First liability... SEAN. Hahaha that poor dude joined us when he couldn't cycle! At first we tried to scam him that there were no tandem bicycles, so he'd have to hug Yan Jie on his bicycle. Then Yan Jie whined so hard about having to ride the pink tandem bike because it conflicted with his manliness. Hahahah (:

Finally, after cycling for a while, we taught Sean how to cycle. HE WAS AN AWESOME LEARNER! He learnt it in like.. 5 minutes? But it seems that Sean can't multi-task. The moment we try talking to him while cycling, he loses track and starts to steer weirdly then veers off and usually crashes.

Well, next obstacle... broken pedal. I think we were going downhill and suddenly Yan Jie stepped on his pedal really hard and BAM it broke off. So we headed back to get it changed. And that poor guy literally RAN back wheeling his bicycle! I was huffing and puffing cycling uphill and he was just running uphill like no sweat! RESPECT! OCS did you good (:

Then Sean had some awful black thingo falling from the sky onto his arm. It was GROSS... It didn't really look like birds' dropping? It looked shiny, oily and lumpy. Honestly, I don't wanna know what it was. Hoorah for the soap sheets I brought (:

Then after meeting alot of dead-ends, uphill slopes.. we made it (: We went on 3 different trails! Hoorah for OComm + Breast Friend!



Dinner with OG!
Rushed home to shower and zoomed off to meet the OG at Cathay. We were supposed to eat at Astons? But the queue was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long so we headed off to Manhattan's Fish Market. Another insanely long queue there? But because they allow for reservations, Jeremy played some tricks and in we went! Hohohoho (:

Hai... I miss Orientation but if I counted the number of times I said that, it'll be some astronomical sum so let's leave it as that.

Well, Sunday is usually boring because of tuition so yeah. Nothing interesting happened then.

I really hate feeling old.

Jiahao's birthday chalet was definitely amusing and the poor boy was bullied so badly! :( But he seemed to have fun in his own way so whoopdedoo for him. But seeing all the juniors made me feel insanely old and wasted. It's like I have less life ahead of me, less zest in life, less enthusiasm for things, less energy, less spontaenity and definitely more boring. I feel more boring as I grow older. I miss the old me in primary school that would break into computer labs just to play Neopets, climb onto thin ledges to disturb the school dentist, knock on the glass windows of the secondary school library non-stop, walk through forbidden corridors that had been sealed up, etc

MANDY MANDY MANDY! CAN YOU BE ANYMORE BORING NOW?!?!?! Work is rubbing off me I swear. And my work isn't even the really mundane data entry kind? Work is never really stagnant for me because I'm always planning events, programmes, mingling with other temps, designing, etc. Imagine if I have a boring deskbound job next time for the rest of my life? I'll grow up to be the most grouchy frump of a woman ever.

Oh but let me state again how much I love Ashley Tisdale's new single. I looped it THROUGHOUT the entire trip from YCK MRT Station to the chalet. (YCK MRT Station -> City Hall to meet Hwee Leong and buy  presents -> Tanah Merah MRT Station -> Waiting for Shuttle Bus -> Long Walk to Bungalow Unit 19). And it made me feel super attitude and powerhouse yo! I bet it'll have made the Top 25 Most Played on my IPod already.

Yay work is getting more fun now that I get to tinker around with ideas for engagement. Just worked on a Bobbi Brown makeup workshop and now on to Image Management Program. I get to plan KIT sessions for the rest of the year! It's like Internal Welfare all over again... planning parties and events. Just that it's gonna be harder because I don't know what boring adults want! :(

I really do enjoy my work and the people are honestly amazingly nice. Props to UOB for having awesome staff.
But well, the real fun always comes in the weekends :D All routine is thrown out of the window. Bye to waking up early in the morning, bye to having boring lunches, bye to meeting the same people everyday (with the exception of my family of course), bye to being boring!!!!

The last weekend was spent council camp-ing, buddy-ing around with Jiahao <3, FCUK skirt-ing, 17 again-ing :D
Now it's a new new weekend! Dear God, please let me recover from my hacking cough by tomorrow so I can enjoy the weekend!

About movies... I watched 17 Again with Belle! Couldn't have chosen a better partner to watch it with! Hahahaha I think we're doomed to being chick flick watchers. We immediately switch off at all intellectual trailers but squeal and laugh at all the brainless parts. The more ridiculous, the better. Next movie... HANNAH MONTANA!!!

On another note, Ashley Tisdale has a new single! I love just about everything she's done. Suite Life, Sharpay in HSM, her debut album, (not so keen about Phineas and Ferb though), Picture This, etc.

I've been looping her new song non-stop the whole evening, a little Kelly Clarkson-ish. I Like :D


I wish time would just fast forward to 24 May! Then I'll be 'LEAAAVINN ON A JET PLANE' to Frankfurt/New York! I get so insanely excited everytime I think about it. My Manhattan map is so full of crosses and annotations and post-its that I don't think I'll ever have enough time to cover all the places I wanna shop! The only real bummer is that nobody will be shopping with me :( My daddy will probably be lazing in the hotel room watching TV or going about with his friends. I feel like doing what some of those funny travel blogs do. Bring along their stuffed toys and take photos of them overseas. Cool right? But I can't decide which to bring... For now, its a close fight among Bubbles, Sarah, Peanuts and Pooh.

I honestly wish I had more intellectual things to post about. I really love reading my friends' intellectual posts or at least stuff a little more coherent than this. Then I wonder if I'm really weird because I can't seem to ever dream up of such topics. But I guess... that's all I have (:

This really proves my theory that "Sometimes you don't have to know much about a person to be good friends with them. It's just the mutual understanding that you'll be there for each other through all shit."

Just love love love everything we've done together. From Jungle Speed to Saboteur to Funky Samurai/Gun Whacking to $2 grave-digging to TianZhi-lovin'... you really just gotta love OComm :D

Another one of my favouritest group of people too. We really have this one-track mind where we can just sing and sing and sing forever and never get bored of each other's company. And I must say that Ye Wei's room is really lovely. Awesome bed (though I can feel the hard springs), almost-awesome TV, not-so-awesome wardrobe, awesome mirror, enough space for 2 to dance, sound system, BLEACH, etc. (:

Anyway, I'm missing Ye Wei already :( Army has stolen my post-middle-man as well as my entertainer. Then again, it's good that army has forced the resident beng to shave his head. Thank goodness for that.

Now I can't wait till next Sunday for Council Camp! So exciting! We'll get to see everybody again (: Though I can't believe that Siang Huat is sadistic enough to go back so early in the morning to watch the 29ths.
Time really flies super duper fast. Soon, it's gonna be 1 year since I first met Jia Hao. LURVEEEEE my bahdee (: I found out who my grandbuddy is already and I facebooked her! Looks nice (:
